Motorcycle Ride to Vermont Part 2

Ed, fell out of bed approximately 9:30 AM at the Maple Tree Winery. Two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon were knocked off the nightstand as Ed rolled over and got up in a daze rocking back and forth. After dressing, Ed headed towards Broccolli’s room.

“Broccolli , are you up ready to ride toward Vermont?”

“Ed, give me 30 minutes to shower, pack my clothes, and you will see me at breakfast downstairs.”

“See you downstairs, dressed and ready to ride.”

Ed and Broccolli finished their buffet breakfast and headed outside to their bikes.

“Broccolli, we have to get gas in about 200 miles at Tom Brady’s Truck Stop.”

“Ed, I agree, and we probably will get there in about 4 hours riding time. We also have about 3 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon I purchased last night. The back roads of the Maple Tree Winery are only a few miles to north 31. Here we go now to north 31 after filling up our tanks. All finished, here we go now to north 31.”

Broccolli and Ed, entered north 31 riding side by side on the far-right hand lane.

“Broccolli, my head is killing me from drinking so much wine last night. There were bottles all over the place. My towels were used to take the stains out of the carpet. I used some stain remover I received from the front desk. Thank God the carpet colors are brown and grey. The idea of drinking anymore wine is out of the question.”

“Ed, I only drank a few glasses of wine. Hey look at that plant on the right side of the road. The massive warehouse makes batteries for electric cars. The company is called LG. How many square feet do you think that building compromises?”

“At least one million square feet Broccolli and 100 truck bays. The last time I saw a building that large was situated in Carteret, NJ. A Pathmark shopping warehouse.”

“100 miles to the truck stop. Traffic is very light today but we still have many trucks since there are no tolls on north 31. Ed, look at all the tree colors. We are starting to see golden-yellow, yellow-brown, and faded green leaves. Going north on 31 also shows us some apple and corn farms.”

“Broccolli, maybe we can stop at an apple farm to pick apples off the trees.”

“Ed, my motorcycle fuel level is very low so can we please head toward the next 50 miles.”

“Okay Broccolli, here we go headed to the truck stop.”

Late afternoon Ed and Broccolli arrived at Tom Brady’s Truck Stop.

“Broccolli look over to the right side of the gas pumps, there walks Tom Brady who is headed to an arena. If we walk fast toward the arena, Tom Brady might strike up a conversation with one of us. The arena sign shows Tom Brady to speak about the NFL.”

“Hey guys do you want to hear me speak tonight in the arena. I have 2 tickets, plus by me signing these tickets you both can stay at the 5-star Tom Brady Hotel for free tonight. Also, I can include two season tickets to the Las Vegas Raiders since I own part of that team.”

“Thank you, Tom Brady, yes, we both will go tonight and look forward to the Las Vegas Raiders this coming season. My name is Ed and my friend is Broccolli. We both appreciate your kindness.

“Broccolli and Ed enjoy the show tonight and the hotel offers a great breakfast in the morning.”

Ed and Broccolli went to get their overnight bags on their motorcycle bikes and headed for the hotel.

Who knew Tom Brady was such a nice guy! Another entertaining episode, and nicely formatted.
