COHORTS

COHORTS

Nana and Ada were cohorts. Nana, the grifter – Ada the saver. The more Nana stole, the more Ada bought freezers. Their success was short lived. Nana got nabbed and soon implicated Ada. Nana served time; so did Ada. Ada got out of jail first – Nana long after. Nana found Ada living like a queen. Ada said, “Please don’t shoot me. They’ll put you back in a cell. In there you’ll rot in hell!” But Nana fired twice! Ada said, “Roll me over gently, my wounds hurt so much!” Nana fired again. Ada died. Nana shot herself – not cohorts anymore! Just dead.
