SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH CRAZY

She didn’t know where he would take her
She didn’t know if she should go
She didn’t know if he would break her
There’s only one thing she could know

She didn’t think of stormy oceans
She didn’t see the glacier melt
She only tasted fresh emotions
She will finally trust herself

She fell in love with crazy
Looking back she thought she’d never
Know the feelings of her answer
She fell in love with crazy … forever

Heart beats assured her of the plan
Her decision could not be clearer
Just one thing to understand
End of innocents was drawing nearer

She fell in love with crazy
Looking back, she thought she’d never
understand the feelings of her answer
She fell in love with crazy … forever

He made her smile…Just like a child
He made the angry world seem tame
Occasionally
She could see
Their spirits were the same

It’s amazing how much story can be captured in a few lines of a poem. Great job of describing what falling in love with crazy means. I hope we all have someone who can make the angry world seem tame!!

Falling in love is always a little crazy, I think…..it involves risking oneself, even though the fear of not going forward is stronger.
    You’ve captured that here.

The risk of “falling in love” reflects a Jackson Browne lyric in his song
      “These day… “And I had a lover
But it’s so hard to risk another of these days
      These days”
I can see that happen with Daryl Hannah as a paramour… she’d hurt you
