JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED

JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED

Vance Dior was very nervous. He was selected to be a judge in a nationally televised beauty contest. There were six other judges, all, like he, associated with the fashion industry.

At the briefing, the judges were told that one of their votes would not be tallied. Strange! This was not a bunch of dudes on a firing squad, but, since no one objected, he went along with this odd set of instructions

As usual, there was the ball gown procession, then the same with bathing suits and finally, the last five contestants were asked questions by selected judges.

The final ballots were cast and a winner chosen. As she walked down the catwalk, she was mortally wounded by a blast, triggered by Vance’s electronic voting button!

Turns out, this was not a beauty contest, but a carefully planned execution of Miss Sri Lanka.

Too bad Vince was not told about this beforehand.

  1. That was a twist I did not see coming – and that was exactly as you planned.

What a masterful blend of all the prompt options this week! It was certainly a surprise ending for Vince and Miss Sri Lanka and me!

Poor Vince and Miss Sri Lanka! I suppose if you got to go, you might as well go with a smile in a beauty pageant.
