A 100 percent True Story

It was June 29, 2017 at about 4:20 am. I had just gotten up because I was sweating from the thermostat in my rented apartment that could not hold the set temperature. I looked out of the fifth floor window at the dark, cloudy sky. It was cooler at the window facing the front of the building.

My eyes fixed on a bright semi-circle of light engulfed by the clouds. It was too early for sunrise, which would occur at my far left. It did not appear to be moving. It made no sense to me for any stationary light to be in the sky at this time! Suddenly, four round bright white lights appeared, arranged as if there were placed on each corner of a perfect square.

All were behind the clouds, including the semicircle of light, which could also still be seen at the top right of the lights. The size of the lights looked about the size of dimes, from this distance, and the square looked as if it was two inches high and wide. This is a large area of thee sky! The only other light visible in the sky was to my far left and I guessed it was Venus. It was also masked by the clouds. The location of the four lights, according to the app on my iPhone, was 124 degrees SE. At no time, were the lights rotating or moving in any direction. They just seemed to be directly facing my window.

I waited to see what could happen next. I watched the four lights slowly fade and, just as suddenly, another set of four identical bright lights appeared on an identical square below the first one, but slightly overlapping the fading lights. That was almost double the size as before. I got my iPhone and took three pictures, although by then, except for one new light, the rest were very faded.

A few hours later, I reported the event, using the “Hotline and followed up with a written report to director@ufocenter.com. The same day, I received a thank you from Peter Davenport, Director of the National UFO Reporting Center in Washington State. He thanked me for the “very nice report” and said, “For your interest, Our Center appears to have received a number of reports…from CT, VA, NY, and PA…that are quite similar to yours. We will have them posted to our website in the near future, together with yours.”

As a scientist, I could only report what I saw, as accurately as I could. I cannot speculate on the explanation.

The three pictures will be sent separately. You should be able to find it in a week or so at UFOcenter.com.

Very interesting—I feel like one of our next prompts should be to explain the phenomena??
