LIKE, I DISLIKE STUFF

 

There are lots of things I do not like

Can’t just focus on one

Could make a list of hundreds

Before I’m done

 

Heading the list: politicians

Forget the voters

Get re-elected

Ignore petitions

 

Close second: TV talking heads

Spouting ludicrous opinions

Smug and all-knowing

Keep them in their cozy beds

 

A close third: TV ads

Mostly cars and drugs

In 30 second spots

Would they be just passing fads

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finishing this little ditty

Odd using poetry this way

Probably prose more serious

But poetry makes dislikes sound pretty

 

One more thing before I end

Effective way to drown dislikes

And keep a positive attitude

Have a healthy shot – not soda pop
