BEWARE THE IDES OF MAY

(Okay, so it’s a day after “the ides”)

Ate least the attendance “sex gap” is narrowing. Today’s box score: females 5 and males four. None of you of the fairer sex need look back – something may be gaining on you!

An auspicious start was the distribution on red nose-balls courtesy of Judy We all looked splendid and even had our pictures taken to prove it.

Two new books were unveiled: an ADD book by Lee Schofield and a beautiful book of poems by Roberta O’ Sullivan Thanks to both for fueling my literary inferiority.

Papers read focused mostly on redemption, rehabilitation, resolution, revenge and even a murder. (I won’t say who wrote that one)

As the assignment stipulated seven stories featured elevators, but only one on a military box.

My personal thanks to George for mentioning me in his story. I was flattered.

Just a reminder: next week’s assignment is a rant concerning something you really dislike; the week after is a May memory.

Does anyone have topics for the month of June?

May I close by suggesting a rant against wearing red noses by people who should not be doing that.
