MIRROR MIRROR

Looking back at me,
What do you see?

How do you feel?
Are both of us real?

Reflection or rejection,
Is that your question?

Does it show on my face:
Fear, pain or disgrace?

Can’t see inside,
So it’s easy to hide.

Locked in this glass cell,
We can’t break the spell.

But being the fairest
May be the scariest.

Great poem. Captures the ambivalence of exposure even to yourself. Nice job.

  2. I especially like: “Locked in this glass cell, We can’t break the spell.”
