I really Love my brain. It is always thinking! It is my creative spirit.
It gives me the:
- emotions that gave me the ability to love, and find connections with others
- images of subjects to sculpt, paint, or draw
- words that I need to speak, read, and understand, and to write poetry and prose
- ability to see, smell, taste, hear, and feel all the beauty in this world
- flight into fantasy of dreams while sleeping and while awake
- ability to enjoy sex with my loving wife
- restfulness of sleep and the ability to meditate and clear my mind
- most powerful computer in the world, which is my clock and calendar,
telling me what to do and when to do it, helping me to:
* fight illness
* build and re-build muscles
* avoid dangerous situations
* remember my life story
* try to understand my place in the universe
My mind is my companion and friend. It is getting old with me and, like my arthritis, giving me pain, its hard-drive is getting full, frustrating me by making it more difficult for it to find the right word to say, but thankfully, not for anything that I write. It is my old friend and teacher. I pray that it will not forsake me and I will stick with it until the end.

Thank you for reminding me that it is all about the brain, isn’t it! Good job.

Norm, give your brain some help and use another body part for the sex bit! Love your prose.
